Been a While

I know it's been a while since my last post but lots of things have been happening. First of all, the kitchen repairs are finished and the den and hallway are painted the same color as the kitchen. What a relief.

Second, I've been working on the synopsis of my new werewolf Victorian. I'm almost finished and I'm having a great time writing it. The story, working title Destiny, takes place in 1885, around London.

Third, I just read Lorraine Heath's recent book, PROMISE ME FOREVER. Couldn't put it down.

Fourth, I'm a member of the new blog, Slip into Something Victorian, for information about everything Victorian. Check it out at www.slipintosomethingvictorian.blogspot.com

And finally, the winner of the American Title II contest has been decided and will be announced during the Romantic Times Convention Awards Luncheon. I plan to be there cheering. Should be a good time for everyone. Many of the American Title II contest finalists will attend. If you're there too, say hey!

It Continues to Amaze

It continues to amaze me that making posts on the internet can be so complicated at times. I'm trying once again. Now, I don't seem to be able to make a new paragraph. What's with that?

Along with taking part in the American Title II contest, I've been busy writing the synopsis for a contemporary story, brainstorming a werewolf idea, revamping my web site and yahoo loop, and dealing with other issues.

The other issues mainly involve the flood of water from the ceiling lights in my kitchen the first week of December. Repairs involve replacing the ice maker tubing, which broke and runs through the ceiling to the outside wall, and repairing the damage to the ceiling and wall to the patio. When it happened I was about to leave for the post office. Thank goodness I heard the plops of water! I couldn't turn off the water. A word to the wise: learn how to turn off the water to your house. Thanks to some nice firemen, the water was turned off along with the electricity and the computer was protected from the flood. Holidays and company required putting off the repairs until now. I know it will all be taken care of, it just takes time. Meanwhile, we'll be moving the computer out of the way.

I've never tried to write before with repairmen rebuilding my kitchen and breakfast area. This is a first for me. ;-) Wish me luck!
